If you’re looking for a holiday which steers away from the stereotypical sun sea and sand destinations a trip to Tirana, the capital of Albania, could be the ideal place to visit. This emerging capital has cleaned up it’s image since the 90’s, and is on a continuing mission to create a beautiful and modern city were people want to be.

There is a large selection of different attractions found throughout this blossoming city which range from historic monuments, religious buildings, modern boutiques and green inner city parks. Skanderbeg Square is the city centre plaza where you’ll find a host of excellent restaurants and shopping opportunities, and the uniquely designed natural history museum and impressive modern sciences museum are not too far a drive away.

The Land of the Roar, Trumpet and Song

Aptly described as the land of the Roar, Trumpet and Song, the Jim Corbett National Park represents a scene of remarkable beauty.

Shake hands with nature as you take a journey into the wild. The heavenly abode for adventure lovers and wildlife enthusiasts, Corbett National Park, set in the Shivalik foothills of the Himalayas in Uttaranchal along the bank of Ramganga River, is India’s first national park.

Corbett is named after the hunter-turned-naturalist/ conservationist, Jim Corbett. While Corbett National park is known for its varied wildlife, it is more commonly famous for the launching of Project Tiger.

Over 50 mammals, 600 birds and 25 reptile species have been spotted here, the main being the tiger, leopard, elephant, chital, sambar, nilgai, gharial, King Cobra, muntjac, wild boar, hedgehog, common musk shrew, flying fox, Indian Pangolin, the rare fish eating long-nosed crocodiles and nearly 600 species of birds.
